A Guide to 48 Hours in Los Angeles, California

I’m back here to write about my trip to L.A

As part of what I have made into my annual trip to California, my roommate, Kelly and I decided to go to Los Angeles over a weekend in April. Chicago had been so cold that we were ready for some sun. This was my second time in LA, having gone the previous year also via San Diego & Palm Springs –  the easy-going lifestyle, the weather and its situation on the Pacific coast make it easily one of my favorite states. We arrived in LAX on Friday evening and arranged to go back to Chicago on Sunday evening, meaning we had to fit in everything we wanted to see and do in 48 hours.

Where we stayed…

We decided to go with Airbnb and booked into a studio at Venice beach – it was a little on the pricey side (around $150 per night but worth it for convenience, it literally was a minute walk from the Venice Boardwalk and the beach. LA is super spread out and you will spend a lot of time in Uber if you stay somewhere remote. Link to our Airbnb Studio
